GETTING THERE

Rail Services from London to Oxford:

Coach Services to Oxford:

All coaches arrive at Gloucester Green Coach Station, from where you will need to take a 7 minute taxi journey to the venue.

From Airports:

FROM LONDON HEATHROW (LHR) TO GLOUCESTER GREEN, OXFORD

Coach Service: The Airline.
Get on: It departs from Heathrow Central Bus Station bay number 14A and Terminal 5 Bay 10. 
Get off: You are travelling to Gloucester Green where the coach stops and will need to tell the driver this so that he stores your luggage in the correct place.
Travel Time: from Central Bus Station: about 90 minutes from Terminal 5: about 80 minutes. 
Price: An Open Return costs £29.00. You will need to have cash to pay for this, alternatively you can book and pay for your tickets online.

FROM LONDON GATWICK (LGW) TO GLOUCESTER GREEN, OXFORD

Coach Service: The Airline.
Get on: It departs from South Terminal Lower Forecourt stands 1 & 2 and Lower Forecourt Road, stands 4 & 5.  
Get off: You are travelling to Gloucester Green where the coach stops and will need to tell the driver this so that he stores your luggage in the correct place.
Travel Time: from South Terminal: about 120-150 minutes from North Terminal: about 120-150 minutes. 
Price: An Open Return costs £37.00 and you will need to have cash to pay for this, alternatively you can book and pay for your ticks online.


Stansted can also be reached by coach but please note that the connections to Oxford are infrequent and it can take up to three hours to get from the airport to Oxford.

FROM LONDON STANSTED (STN) TO GLOUCESTER GREEN, OXFORD

Coach Service: National Express.Get on: Stansted Airport Coach Station, London.  
Get off: Gloucester Green Bus Station, Oxford.
Travel Time: Minimum 3 hours 20 minutes.

From London: Frequent 24-hour direct services connect Oxford with London (peak times every 10-20 minutes). The Oxford Express X90 service includes Victoria Coach Station, Grosvenor Gardens, Marble Arch, Baker Street/Gloucester Place and Hillingdon. FROM CENTRAL LONDON TO GLOUCESTER GREEN, LONDON

Coach Service: X90 or Oxford Tube.
Get on: You have a choice of stops in London around the Baker Street, Marble Arch, and Victoria areas.  
Get off: You are travelling to Gloucester Green where the coach stops and will need to tell the driver this so that he stores your luggage in the correct place.
Travel Time: From London Victoria Coach Station to Oxford Gloucester Green, the journey time is about 100 minutes but allow extra time during rush hours. 
Price: An Adult Three Month Return costs £20.00. You will need to pay the driver in cash, alternatively you can book and pay for your ticks online.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

You will need a visa to come to the UK as a visitor. But please check your nationality as there are some exceptions.

PLEASE NOTE: Your registration for the Course IS NOT CONFIRMED until a valid UK visa is in place and full payment has been received.  

We strongly recommend that you apply for your visa two months before your course date. This will allow plenty of time for your application to be processed – also bearing in mind that we need to have your visa in place 3 weeks before the course starts.
Petrospot can provide you with a letter which details the reason for your visit to the UK and can be used as evidence of who invited you to the UK when making your application. In order for us to provide this letter, please send us (via email to events@petrospot.com) details of:

  • your full name
  • your date of birth
  • who your passport was issued by
  • your passport number
  • the issue date of your passport
  • the expiry date of your passport, and
  • the address of the embassy/ consulate to which you will make your application.  

Once this information is received we shall produce this letter and email a pdf of it directly to you (using the email address given on your registration form).  PLEASE NOTE: A print out of the pdf will be accepted by the Embassy/Consulate and therefore we do not post copies out to you.
