ASSOCIATION OF PORTUGAL PORTS (APP)
APP is a non-profit association, created in 1991, with the objective of being a forum for debate and exchange of information on matters of common interest to ports and maritime transport.
Its mission is to promote the development and modernisation of the national Port System. APP aims to defend national ports and improve their integration into national and international transport and logistics systems, intensifying the work of collaboration, cooperation and coordination between ports and port authorities, especially in the various technical areas of port management, ensure the continuity of support for APLOP – Portuguese-speaking Ports Association and carry out studies and projects of common interest to the members.
The European International Shipowners’ Association of Portugal (EISAP)
EISAP represents more than 80% of owners of ships sailing under the Portuguese flag. It is a private association, founded in 2016.
EISAP is headquartered in Funchal, the capital of the region of Madeira. This ensures proximity to the International Business Centre of Madeira, of which the International Shipping Register of Madeira (MAR) is part. EISAP has an office in Lisbon, thereby ensuring closer direct business connections to associates.

AGEPOR - Portuguese Shipping Agents Association
AGEPOR is the Portuguese Shipping Agents Association. Being present in all Portuguese ports, AGEPOR assures all its members (Ship Agents) as well as its principals (Shipowners) all assistance needed either for the ship, the crew, the passengers and the cargo. AGEPOR is a well known Association within the Portuguese Sector and Government having an important role in whatever relates to shipping and ports. AGEPOR also is a recognised and officially licensed body in shipping education.
AGEPOR is a member of FONASBA – the worldwide Federation of Associations of Shipbrokers and Agents. The Executive Director of AGEPOR currently plays the role of Vice-President in FONASBA, being responsible for all European members.
