Maritime Week Las Palmas 2024
Maritime Week Las Palmas is designed to showcase all that is important about this special port on the island of Gran Canaria, one of Spain’s seven Canary Islands, sitting in the mid-Atlantic about a hundred miles off the coast of West Africa.
Following the success of the inaugural Maritime Week Las Palmas, this second edition will again bring together the bunker, energy, shipping, and maritime industries to showcase this dynamic logistics hub and the wide range of maritime services provided by the port of Las Palmas to ships sailing to and from Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
Growing demand for alternative fuels – particularly by the increasingly important cruise sector for which a new terminal is under construction – will be fully covered in the MWLPA Conference, as will new energy production and the burgeoning offshore wind sector, which is now seen as a crucial industry as the Canary Islands strives to be at the forefront of the environmental evolution.
The flagship conference will be complemented by a range of breakout sessions, workshops and site visits designed to introduce the key maritime services on offer in the Canary Islands to a wider international audience. The week will also include the highly-rated ship.energy Alternative Fuels Course.
