RECOVERY POSITION: THE WAY BACK FOR SHIPPING
AND BUNKER MARKETS
Maritime Week Americas 2021 is returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to celebrate an exciting in-person event that will bring together bunkering and shipping people from all over the Americas and Caribbean and remind everyone why MWA is still the largest and most popular bunkering conference in the Americas.
With the ravages of the coronavirus pandemic having caused chaos throughout the world, and particularly so in much of the Americas, Maritime Week Americas will be one of the first ‘live, in-person’ bunkering events to take place as the global economy continues its recovery and business gradually gets back to ‘normal’.
The top-level MWA Conference will focus on how the industry is recovering, and how the global pandemic has changed, possibly forever, the way that the bunker business is conducted. It will examine markets in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean and ask how shipping, oil and bunker markets will fare going forward. The MWA Conference will also look at how and why transparency in bunkering is now beginning to change the way the business is conducted.
MWA 2021 will include focused training and workshops ahead of the MWA Conference but will also include several spectacular networking events that have for many years been a trademark of this fabulous event. A welcome reception and gala dinner overlooking the Atlantic Ocean will again be complemented by a relaxing boat tour of Fort Lauderdale’s famous waterways and the impressive Port Everglades.

Covid-19 – Cancellation Policy 2021
We are continuously monitoring the Covid-19 situation in Florida and across the world.
If you have already registered and paid to attend Maritime Week Americas 2021 but are subsequently informed by the authorities in your country of residence that you are not permitted to travel to the United States at the time of the event, you will be given the opportunity to transfer your registration to the next Maritime Week Americas, scheduled for Panama in May 2022. Should you find that you are unable to attend on the new dates for any reason – and are unable to transfer the registration to a colleague – Petrospot will refund your registration fees in full.
We are working closely with our hotel and venue partners to ensure that our clients are not exposed to any financial risk should they be obliged to cancel. However, any hotel cancelations will be at the discretion of the hotel, rather than Petrospot.
Petrospot reserves the right to require proof of vaccination status and/or a recent negative Covid-19 test and to request a temperature test on arrival at the event, in line with any local official guidelines. We will also follow all local Government guidelines with regards to social distancing, participant numbers and sanitisation standards.
Please note these guidelines are subject to change but you will be made aware of any implications ahead of time.
