Oman Maritime, Ports and Energy Forum 2025 • Muscat

New dates to be announced for Oman Maritime, Ports and Energy Forum

In light of escalating interest from international and Omani companies and entities across the maritime and energy sectors, the organisers of the inaugural Oman Maritime, Ports and Energy Forum have announced that the event will be moved from late September to 2025, with new dates to be announced in the very near future.

The Oman Maritime, Ports and Energy Forum has been created to highlight the skillsets and commercial opportunities available across the Sultanate of Oman’s ports, energy, shipping, maritime logistics and bunkering sectors.

This important event will give maritime stakeholders a unique chance to see how Oman’s maritime-related industries are responding to the many opportunities created by changing global trade flows, technological change, global regulation, and the energy transition.

By profiling the resources and expertise available in Oman – and the wider Middle East – the Forum will allow companies from outside the region to understand the potential and scope for business opportunities, to engage with relevant companies and organisations, and begin all-important commercial discussions.

Commenting on the date change for the event, Lesley Bankes-Hughes, Managing Director of ship.energy, said: ‘We have had a surge of interest in the run-up to the Forum, with many more companies and organisations wishing to be part of this first such event in Oman.‘ As such, I have taken the decision to move the Forum to a new date in 2025, which will be confirmed in the coming days. This will give us time to complete the processes required for collaboration with new entities and to expand the conference agenda.

‘I would like to thank our sponsors and speakers for their ongoing commitment to the event. It is my opinion that the widening of collaboration with key Omani and international stakeholders can only add to the success and impact of OMPEF.’
