The world-renowned Oxford Bunker Course is coming to Dubai in February 2025.
The Dubai edition of the Oxford Bunker Course is designed for newcomers to the business but also for those who may already have some experience in shipping and marine fuels.
The four-day intensive programme is led by Nigel Draffin (Course Director), backed by a dedicated team of highly respected experts, spanning every discipline within the international bunker industry. Together, the team ensures that every student leaves the course with a solid understanding and far greater knowledge of the bunker industry.
The course has been developed over many years to give delegates a thorough grounding in all the elements of the bunker industry, to understand the needs of suppliers, sellers, buyers and users of bunkers, together with an insight of the changes and challenges of the next five to ten years.
The Dubai programme includes a range of high-quality lectures on the technical, operational, commercial, financial and legal aspects of bunkering, including case studies, discussion groups and practical demonstrations. All students receive comprehensive course documentation for later reference and ongoing training.
During the week, all students meet and work with the experts and have an extraordinary opportunity to build long-term relationships with their peers from all sectors of the business.
The Dubai edition is aimed primarily at students working in and around the Middle East. It is non-residential, but students from outside Dubai are encouraged to stay in the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, where the course will be held. All students will be invited to attend the social and networking functions of the Middle East Bunkering Convention that will take place at the same venue during the same week.
