Sol expanding its bunkering options

Florida: May 13, 2019 - SOL PETROLEUM LIMITED. Mariners across the Americas can enjoy more bunkering options as Sol, the leading supplier of petroleum products and energy services in the Caribbean, added offshore bunkering via the Panda PG vessel to its distribution late last year. The additional fuelling service, which began in November 2018, provides vessels off the shores of Trinidad and Grenada with a reliable bunkering option.

This new addition further bolsters the regional fuel giant’s current marine fuel distribution system, which includes an ex-barge operation in Nassau Bahamas, ex-pipe in Barbados, Suriname, Guyana, Bermuda, Grand Cayman, and via truck in Saint Lucia, Grenada, Tortola, Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana.

The marine industry is dependent on a consistent and reliable fuel supply and is heavily regulated to ensure the safety of crews and marine environments. Kirk King, The Sol Group's Bunkering Manager, explained that, "Sol adheres to the strictest international standards and will be a premier provider of IMO2020 compliant fuels at multiple ports in the region.”
