Reporter Needed

on Tuesday, 28 May 2024. Posted in Petrospot News

Petrospot Limited is a dynamic, independent publishing, training and conference company focused on the global shipping and maritime energy sectors.

We are looking for a skilled and self-motivated reporter to join our editorial team. The role would suit a journalist who has a real interest in reporting on the future for shipping as it navigates the commercial, technical and regulatory challenges associated with the global energy transition.

Reporting to the Managing Editor, the successful candidate will write news and features for the company’s flagship bi-monthly magazine, Bunkerspot, and will also be part of a team delivering the editorial content for the Bunkerspot and ship.energy news sites. In addition to breaking news and researching in-depth features, the role will also involve covering UK and international industry events and conferences.

Applicants for this varied position should have strong journalistic and subbing skills with at least one year’s professional experience, preferably working in a B2B editorial environment. Experience writing on maritime issues would be a plus, but all applications will be considered on their merits. The role could allow for hybrid working.

We are looking for a curious and motivated writer who can engage with a global, complex and fascinating industry. In return, we can offer real and exciting career opportunities for the right candidate.

Petrospot is an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome applications from all suitably experienced persons. We are committed to inclusive and accessible recruitment.
