Petrospot’s Managing Director, Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, organises and moderates the bunkering session at the 2,300-delegate Connecticut Maritime Association’s Shipping 2013 annual conference in Stamford, Connecticut. Entitled Bunkers: Making sense of it all, the session includes contributions from industry experts Panos Panousis, Managing Director of Infospectrum Ltd, Gary W. Lawson, Vice President, Worldwide Fuel Management at OSG Ship Management, Inc., Adrian Tolson, Regional Manager North America (Physical Operation) at OW Bunker North America, Bob Thornton, Senior Technical Director at World Fuel Services Inc., Rudy Kassinger, formerly of Exxon and DNV Petroleum Services and now a consultant, and Katarina Stanzel, Managing Director of Intertanko.

Petrospot runs the Oxford Bunker Course (Advanced) training course in London, at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Westminster (6-8 March). Previously held in Singapore, Houston, Cape Town, Accra and Dubai, the course is again led by Nigel Draffin (IBIA Chairman, LQM Petroleum Services), assisted by Paul Millar (Bominflot), Michael Green (Lintec Testing Services) and Trevor Harrison (maritime arbitrator and previous Acting Chief Executive of IBIA). Delegates attend from Colombia, Belgium, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
