The themes for European Shipping Week 2017 have been formally announced with thecompetitiveness of European shipping globally and the strategies being developed by theEuropean Union and its respective bodies to foster that competitiveness sitting at the heart of the week’s events and debate.

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Moses Asaga, has lauded the efforts of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority to service the needs of bigger vessels through its expansion project and the provision of desalination plant to supply fresh water to vessels at the Port of Takoradi.
