Luci Llewellyn-Jones
Director – Events

Luci heads Petrospot’s training and conferencing activities, and runs the head office.

After achieving several post-graduate qualifications in marketing and PR, Luci joined MRC Business Information Group in early 1996.

Based in Oxford, and during 1999 in London, Luci was in charge of running the back office functions for BunkerNews, its sister publications, including Lloyd’s List Energy Day, and a range of related UK and international events.

In May 1996, Luci was promoted to the position of Editor of the BunkerNews Directory, a highly-successful directory published every six months, taking charge of all editorial content, production, promotion and sales.

In 1997, Luci was given the extra task of organising a growing number of conferences and training courses offered by BunkerNews. These included the twice-yearly Oxford Bunker Course and some of the most successful bunker events worldwide, including Miami 1997, 1998, 1999, 2002; New Orleans 2000; London 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003; Hong Kong 1999, 2001, Singapore 2000, 2002; Panama 2001, 2003; St Petersburg 2002, 2003 and Cape Town 2002.

Luci joined Petrospot in December 2003. Her multiple roles in publishing and events organisation at Informa have given her invaluable and unique experience which she continues to employ at Petrospot. Since joining Petrospot, she has organised major events in Buenos Aires, Panama, Miami, New York, Montreal, Hong Kong, Monaco, Antwerp, London, Oxford and Cape Town.

Luci also oversees the sales and marketing, administration and finance sections of the business.

Luci was born in Newport, Wales, in 1971 and lives in Oxford with her husband. She has a degree in French from Oxford Brookes University.
