Click Here To RegisterAs LNG is increasingly seen as a viable - and green - option as a marine fuel, this highly-focused conference investigates what the industry now needs to do to take this idea forward, Asian demand and supply requirements and global technical and market preparedness for this exciting 'new' bunker fuel.

The use of LNG as a marine fuel is already a reality in some areas of shipping, such as short sea shipping and LNG cargo transportation. However, significant operational, procedural and regulatory challenges still remain to be overcome before LNG can gain acceptance by players in the tanker, dry bulk and container sectors.

This one day conference will ask if LNG has the potential to become a viable global alternative to traditional marine fuels in the Asian market. Many events provide a broad-brush, generalist approach to the LNG market, but this Bunkerspot LNG Asia conference will really focus on what a shift to LNG could mean for the bunker sector in this exciting, fast-paced energy region.

Case studies will illustrate the situation from the shipper’s, supplier’s and port operator’s point of view, and we will consider whether the business case for a switch to LNG can be made. There will be presentations on vessel and tank design, environmental and safety issues, as well as on LNG and dual fuel engine technology.

Sessions on fuel availability and terminal development will provide a useful regional perspective on the LNG market, and the factors and requirements which must be included in developing bunkering procedures and regulations will be closely scrutinised.

Above all, the conference will ask why LNG is such a buzz word in today’s shipping sector and what its impact will be on the business operations of the traditional bunker supplier, who is already coping on a daily basis with a raft of information on recent and forthcoming environmental regulations, and emissions abatement technologies.

The Bunkerspot LNG Asia conference will ask whether LNG is really here to stay in the highly competitive global marine fuels market. Make sure you are at Bunkerspot LNG Asia to hear the answers.
