ARACON 2010 takes place onboard the SS Rotterdam, a spectacularly renovated 1950s Holland America Line ocean liner, now permanently moored close to Rotterdam’s city centre.
The SS Rotterdam, which made its maiden voyage from Rotterdam to Southampton in 1958, occupies a very special place in the hearts of every Dutch seafarer and is fondly remembered by seamen and ocean travellers the world over.
ARACON 2010 will be the first ever bunker conference to be held onboard such an iconic vessel. The fabulous setting will provide a truly momentous backdrop to the leading international conference to serve the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) bunkering community and will ensure that the memories last a lifetime.
The entire event will take place onboard the SS Rotterdam, from the opening day registration party in the unique exhibition area on Wednesday, to the spectacular gala reception and dinner on Thursday, and the farewell lunch on Friday. Delegates will be able to sleep onboard the ship and the conference sessions will take place in the SS Rotterdam’s famous theatre.
