The first seminar, Preparing for the Revolution: The Case for Bunker Metering will investigate the persistent problem of short deliveries and inaccurate bunker measuring, and will look into how this might be resolved through the development and deployment of sophisticated in-line measuring and on-line monitoring equipment.
All the main players involved in in-line metering and on-line monitoring - led by A.P. Moller/Maersk and including shipowners, bunker suppliers, barge operators, the maritime authorities and meter manufacturers - will come together to debate the pros and cons of bunker metering. They will also examine the results of extensive trials.
The second seminar, Managing Credit Risk, will dig deep into the complexities of the volatile shipping and bunker markets and will give delegates the key information they need to manage their company's vulnerability to credit issues.
The seminar, delivered by some of the world’s leading authorities on bunker credit issues, will help delegates understand their customers and the markets in which they are operating. It will show delegates how to protect their business by learning to recognise and minimise the risks involved. This seminar also gives delegates the tools, knowledge and contacts to be able cope when it all goes wrong.
